Downtown Norfolk Virginia Urban Engagement session

Addi, Mackenzie, and I all go way back! In fact I was a youth leader in our churches youth group when Addi was still in middle school…. I mean I was a very young youth leader, like fresh out of high school, but still CRAZINESS haha! But THE REAL STORY is that these two met in 10th grade Spanish and became friends! They went to ring dance and prom together, but didn’t start dating until Mackenzie’s spring semester at VCU freshman year. VCU is in Richmond Virginia and is about a 2 hour drive from Virginia Beach where Addi was. These two made long distance work for about 3 years. Each making the drive to see one another and planning dates halfway in between to play chess & dominos! Fast forward to now and Mackenzie has been back In Virginia Beach for about 2 years (so they are going on 5 years now! Woohoo!). This December Addi popped the big question to which Mackenzie said yes! In January they asked me to capture their engagement photos and I could not have been more thrilled to do so! We met up at Cure Coffee in downtown Norfolk. Once fueled up on coffee, we just wandered the streets laughing and taking photos!! At their engagement session they popped the big question to me and asked if I would capture their wedding, to which I replied OF COURSE!!! I absolutely love getting to capture my friends love stories and I am just so happy for these two!! All I got to say is that Rona better go away soon because  I CANNOT WAIT TO CELEBRATE THESE TWO AND CAPTURE THEIR WEDDING IN AUGUST!
