Downtown Los Angeles Couple Session

There’s something about Los Angeles California that feels like a movie set—especially when you spend the day running around iconic locations with a couple as fun and adventurous as Mikey and Kere. From secret swings and swan boats to breathtaking sunset views, this session was nothing short of magical.

We started our day with a little hike to find one of LA’s famous “hidden swings.” Now, calling it “hidden” might be a bit of an overstatement because, to our surprise, there was a line of people waiting their turn. (So much for secret spots!) But the wait was well worth it. Once it was finally our turn, we each took a swing over the edge of the hill, feeling the rush of the city beneath us. And Kere? She was fearless—leaning so far back that she was practically upside down, fully embracing the moment. (Okay, maybe I’m being a little dramatic, but just wait until you see the photos!) The golden LA light filtered through the trees, creating the dreamiest glow, and it was the perfect way to kick off our adventure.

Next, we made our way to Echo Park—one of my favorite spots in the city, not just because of its charm, but because it feels like stepping into a scene from La La Land. If you’ve seen the movie, you probably remember the swan boats drifting across the lake, and we had every intention of recreating that moment. But here’s the thing—they make you wear life vests. And let’s be real, life vests don’t exactly fit the effortless, romantic aesthetic we were going for. So, we skipped the boats and instead spent time wandering the park, capturing sweet, candid moments as Mikey and Kere laughed, danced, and soaked in the beauty of the city around them.

The final stop of our adventure was Griffith Observatory, and if you’ve never been there at sunset, let this be your sign to go. Seriously, the views are breathtaking. Of course, LA traffic did its thing and delayed us, but we made it just in time for the most stunning golden-hour light. The city stretched out before us, twinkling as the sun dipped below the skyline, and it was the perfect way to wrap up the shoot. Mikey and Kere just melted into the moment, completely present with each other, and I loved capturing that feeling—pure, effortless, and full of love.

Looking back, this day felt like a real-life La La Land adventure, complete with hidden gems, iconic city views, and the kind of connection that makes my job so fulfilling. But beyond the stunning locations and golden light, the best part was simply getting to know these two—hearing about their love story, laughing over shared moments, and finishing the night with some incredible Indian food. (Because is there really any better way to end a day in LA?)

Mikey and Kere, you two are an absolute joy, and I’m so grateful to have spent this day with you, documenting your love in one of the most magical cities in the world. Here’s to many more adventures ahead!
