Jockey Ridge State Park Boho Elopement
Te’kia and Torrey’s WeddIng day was absolutely PERFECT
Te’kia reached out to me last year after seeing another boho style shoot I had done at Jockey Ridge State Park on Pinterest. After nailing down the details and them officially booking me all there was for me to do was wait but boy was it worth the wait! Te’kia enlisted the help of Something Blue NC for design and planning! They created a Boho dream for the sand dunes of the Outer banks. I arrived in the Outer Banks the day of praying for the weather. All the reports were a little dicey for an outdoor wedding. After capturing some getting ready shots with Te’kia at their airbnb, I headed to the ceremony site at Jockey Ridge State Park. As I arrived at the park and walked out to the dunes the sky started to be filled up with black clouds. It honestly looked like it might just start pouring rain but thankfully there were some pretty strong winds. I guess the winds pushed the storm clouds away because about 30 minutes later when Te’kia arrived the sky was clear again. The almost storm also helped to cool the temperatures a bit just in time for the ceremony! Surrounded by their closest friends and family Torrey and Te’kia said I do under clear skies. After the ceremony everyone else headed back to their airbnb as we took some time to capture the newlyweds at the dunes! Thankfully that day the dunes were not crowded at all so we pretty much had free reign of the park. Once we finished we headed back to the airbnb as well where they had their first dance. They spent the rest of the evening enjoying some good food and the company of those closest to them!
Ahh I just love intimate weddings and this one was just the most perfect boho dream for a beautiful couple!
