Blue Ridge Parkway Golden Elopement
Although I am a full time wedding Photographer with a busy schedule, I still love to second shoot for other photographers! Especially if those photographers are friends!! The reason being that it allows me to experiment a little more on the wedding day without the pressure of being the lead photographer. It also forces me to look for different angles than the lead photographer is getting. So this past fall when my good friend and fellow wedding photographer Jessie asked me if I wanted to second shoot for her in the Mountains I was all for it! I mean she really had me when she said mountains! Haha Anytime work involves going to the mountains I am a happy girl!
The couple chose to elope at a spot on the Blue Ridge Parkway with the most epic view! If you have never visited the Blue Ridge Parkway put it on your Bucket list!! And before you tell me you do not like hiking, there are literally spots you can drive up to! No hiking involved! This spot for the elopement was one such spot!
These two arrived together and finished transferring their vows on to paper in their car. They then separated and finished getting dressed! They had a first look with the mountains in the background and then walked down a little path to their ceremony site! They finished and sealed it with a kiss as the most epic golden light splashed across the mountains. We stayed out in the mountains taking photos and toasting to them until the sun was completely gone and the stars were coming out.
Needless to say if you are in the North Carolina area (or really anywhere) and this is how you want your wedding day to go, I would LOVE TO CAPTURE IT FOR YOU! HIT ME UP AND LETS CHAT!
