Uptown Charlotte North Carolina Couple Session

This session will forever hold a special place in my heart because it is the first session I did as an official CHARLOTTE RESIDENT! I made the decision to move to Charlotte in January and with all the ups and downs of 2020 I was unsure if it was still going to happen. One day in July I randomly asked a friend from Charlotte if she knew of anyone looking for a roommate and she was like actually I am moving and my spot is becoming available. A few weeks later I made the move and that is how I got to be in Uptown shooting with Jordan and Caleb this past September. These two were also fairly new residents to the beautiful city of Charlotte having moved from LA earlier in the year.  We met up at Romare Bearden Park which is on the edge of Uptown with all the buildings as a gorgeous backdrop. The park was a great location to have space to run around, but also giving us all the city vibes. As the sun began to set we decided to walk across the street to a parking garage to get some different views of the city! Thankfully we picked the right parking garage because we had the top all to ourselves. Shooting in the city is so very different than shooting in the mountains, so it was fun to play around with the lighting in the city setting as the buildings were reflecting light and causing shadows. 

Jordan and Caleb were an absolute joy to capture and I am so thankful to make some new friend in my new city! Cannot wait to capture many more sessions and Weddings in my new home state of North Carolina!
