Virginia Beach Summer Engagement Session

Originally I was supposed to meet up with Ben & Katie and shoot their engagement photos in April, but then Corona! I feel like that is just going to be a phrase from now on. Haha. I was supposed to, but then Corona. Thankfully it was not too long before we could reschedule and get these two in front of my camera! Once it was ok for for us to meet up again we picked an afternoon to meet, but wouldn’t you know the day we rescheduled the weather was not looking so great! I do not know if you guys have been to Virginia Beach, but the weather here can be so fickle. The weather channel can call for snow and it ends up being 70 degrees out. It can call for rain and then it changes its mind a billion times!! The day of our rescheduled shoot it was sunny in some places and storm clouds in other places. We decided to go ahead and risk it and move forward with the shoot. I got to the location early and went out to scout out a bit. It started to sprinkle and by the time I got back to my car it was pouring. When Katie and Ben arrived we decided to wait and see if it would stop. It did after about 10 minutes and we headed out to get started!! The first part of the session went great with a lot of laughs!! About half way through Ben and Katie changed outfits and had a friend bring their pup to include in their photos. We had literally only been shooting like 5 minutes after their outfit change when the heavens opened up and poured on us even though the sun was still shining! We called it a day at that point since we were all soaked and decided to pick another day to finish up when the weather was not being so crazy. We met up just a few days later and had the best time running around the beach with our toes in the sand!!  This time we had the absolute perfect weather and were able to end Ben & Katie’s session with a beautiful sunset!
