Flyway Lodge North Carolina Wedding
This past April I had the privilege of shooting my long-time friend Amber’s wedding! In fact, I have known Amber and her now husband Jacob for years. We all attended the same church and were leaders in the youth group together. While I was good friends with Amber, Jacob was good friends with one of my brothers. It took Jacob a little while to win Amber over, but he did and it was so special to be a part of their magical day!
First, let’s just take a moment to acknowledge the dream vendor team Amber assembled for her day! Their wedding took place at The Flyway Lodge in Knotts Island, NC. This place is seriously a little hidden gem just over the North Carolina Border from Virginia. Tucked off the road and hidden by trees you would never know if it was there, but once you make it down the long driveway you find a stunning location. With redwoods that remind me of the West coast and the seclusion of the location offers a spacious, but more private setting for weddings! Kendrell Brown over at Blush Tones did a fantastic Job on Make-up and Jaclyn Hayes absolutely crushed Amber's hair! Kate of Kate Fiore Floral Knocked all of the florals out of the park! From the stunning ceremony arch to all the bouquets, it was all simply flawless! And Guys do not even get me started on Karissa Creates it all’s Cake!! I have two words for you, Beautiful & Delicious! It is a powerful combination! Astro Entertainment kept us dancing all night long and Casey Christian Films was a great partner in capturing the day! And last but certainly not least! Kyernan over at Hummel hands kept us all organized and on track for the day!
This day was definitely one for the books! Filled with so much love and beauty! From the tears shed at the first look, the flower girls actually picking real flowers out of the grass to put in their baskets, And to the pure joy that was on Amber and Jacob’s face as their were announced as Mr. & Mrs. Porter at the reception! This day will hold so many memories for all that were there and It was truly an honor to capture it all!
