Virginia Intimate Boho Wedding

I probably say this all the time (I mean it when I say it) but this Wedding was a special one to capture! I have known Addi & Mackenzie for YEARS! In fact I have known Addi since he was in Middle school and Mackenzie since she was a senior in High school. Both of them were in the youth group I was a leader of at our church. Addi & Mackenzie have even modeled for me in the beginning of my photography journey. Which thankfully I have improved a ton since those early days! I have gotten to watch this relationship grow through the years and I was incredibly honored when they asked me to capture not only their engagement photos but also their wedding day.

Despite all the curve balls that 2020 threw at couples, it looked like Addi and Mackenzie were going to be able to have their day as planned with what the Virginia rules were at the time. Just a few days before their wedding date it all changed. With only a few days to make the adjustments these two had to cut their guest list down to basically family and a few friends. The last minute changes could not dampen this day though. Beside the beautiful set up by some amazing vendors, the love these two have for each other showed on their faces through the whole day. From the Bear hug Addi gave Mackenzie during their first look, the smiles they shared during their ceremony, and the laughs that filled the room until they left was evident enough of the love they share.

Although 2020 had its very stressful, unpleasant, and hard moments it really brought into focus what matters most. I mean wedding details are important, nice, and by all means have your dream wedding, but at the end of the day what really matters is that you are saying yes to forever with your love!
