Downtown Richmond Virginia Engagement

Mackenzie and Josh met six years ago and their lives were on completely different paths at that point. In fact they said that if someone would have come up to them at  a random party and said “You two are going end up together,” they would have thought they were crazy!! Time went on and it wasn’t until three years later when they reconnected through mutual friends that there was a SPARK BETWEEN THEM!! NOW THEY ARE CRAZY IN LOVE and getting married in their hometown this fall!! BUT FIRST, ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS! They are getting married in Pennsylvania, but they wanted their engagement photos taken in Richmond, Virginia where they now call home! I just love when couples pick a location that is special to them for their engagement photos, I think it just makes the photo all that more meaningful! Their session took place right before everything completely shut down due to the Corona virus. Although all this virus stuff has been terrible, it did leave the streets of Richmond kind of empty this day so we had free rein on the city!! Before their session Mackenzie and I talked and we chose to shoot in the downtown area to capture that city vibe and then head back to their home to capture some cozy in home photos! They added some little unique touches to their session like Josh playing guitar to Mackenzie, having a glass of wine, and including their pups in the session!! FYI I am aways down for including ones pups in a session! I mean just scroll down to the bottom and see how cute the pups are in these photos!! 

It was such a great afternoon capturing Mackenzie and Josh’s love story! The way they look at each other you would never know that they were totally not interested in each other at the beginning!
