My name is Sarah but my friends call me SB because let's face it, there are a lot of Sarahs in this world and it gets a little confusing. Haha! Most days you can find me with a good cup of coffee in hand having just left the gym. Yes, I actually like the gym, working out is therapeutic for me. Going on an adventure & traveling to a new place is my absolute favorite thing. SERIOUSLY! Whether I am hiking a mountain or walking around a big city, exploring is my happy place. Why do I love traveling so much?! I think it brings perspective and reminds me that the world is so much bigger than my little bubble. I am a hardcore introvert but don’t let that fool you! My family will gladly tell you that I can be the loudest one in the room when I feel like it and I will tear up the dance floor at your wedding if the playlist is on point. Lastly, but most importantly, Jesus completely has my heart!

Photography, How it began

I first picked up a point and shoot canyon camera in middle school but back then my intention was not to become a photographer. I simply wanted to capture moments so that they would last a lifetime! I wanted to authentically capture the world and the people I saw around me. Fast forward to today and my goal is still the same, although I have since switched to a NIKON camera (hallelujah! haha). To capture life as it truly is one adventure at a time. And as a destination elopement & wedding photographer, this is what I strive for with each and every one of my couples. Whether your wedding adventure is taking place in the big city of NYC or on the side of a mountain in Yosemite, My goal will always be to capture you and your love story AUTHENTICALLY!

My Approach

Since my goal is authenticity, my first step is to get to know you and your story. I do not want to simply pose you, but capture you as you really are. When you look back on your photos years from now I want you to say, that was totally US in the picture. I want to capture the belly laughs until you cry, the quirky side, and what makes you unique as a couple. My second step is for you to get to know me. I do not want to just show up to your wedding as a stranger like "hello, you don’t know me but I am going to be with you for every moment of your big day!" HOW AWKWARD!! No, I want to become more friend than wedding vendor. From the time you inquire all the way through your gallery delivery, I got your back! I will answer all your questions, I will fix your hair for you, I will carry your change of clothes, and I will even personally wipe the lipstick off your teeth (I have done this for one of my brides haha) if needed. Why would I do all this for you?!?! Because I know how awkward it can feel being in front of the camera, so I do not want to just deliver great photos but a great experience as well. When I walk in I want you to just relax because you know we are on this adventure together!
